A studio, not a label
We started with twelve dresses and a borrowed light. Seven years later the method has not changed: make fewer things, photograph them honestly, and let the fit do the selling.

“The most sustainable wardrobe is not a new one. It is the one you already own, worn properly, for longer than you planned.”

Three hundred
pieces, then we stop
Every style is produced in a single run of 300. If it sells out and the demand is real, we make it again — same mill, same pattern, no changes. If it does not, we let it go.
This is slower and less profitable than the alternative. It also means nothing is made to be discounted, and nothing is destroyed at the end of a season.
Read about responsibilitySeven years, quietly
A room and a rail
Shecme begins as a two-person studio with a rail of twelve dresses and a borrowed photography light.
The first knit
A fine-gauge rib cardigan, made in a family mill outside Porto, sells out in nine days and remains in the collection.
Small runs, properly
We move to a made-to-forecast model: every style is produced in runs of 300, restocked only if it earns it.
The quiet collection
Forty silhouettes, four colourways, one standard. The collection you are looking at now.
What we will not do
Small runs
Every style is produced in runs of 300 pieces. Nothing is made to be discounted; nothing is destroyed at the end of a season.
Traceable fabric
Eighty-two percent of our fabrics are traced to a mill we have visited. The rest is on a published roadmap to 2028.
Repair, not replace
Send us a piece that has lost a button or a seam and we will repair it, free, for the first two years.
